15 Struggles of Being a Female Sports Fan

Everyone thinks that being a female sports fan is the greatest thing because of the attention it can get from the opposite sex. Those people couldn’t be more incorrect. It’s a tough life being a female sports fan. Here’s 15 reasons that the struggle is real:

1. Being accused of Googling things 24/7.
2. Having to explain why you like a particular player because everyone assumes it’s for his looks.
3. Seeing a girl decked out in blingy gear and wanting to gauge your eyes out. Bless her soul.
4. Seeing a girl trying so hard to look cute when the weather is so extreme.
5. Seeing a girl in the front row texting the whole time. GIVE ME YOUR SEAT!
6. Constantly being “tested” with random trivia questions. Like I’m sorry I don’t know the first baseman’s blood type but does that make me a fake fan? Do you even know the answer to that?
7. Being catcalled at a game (no seriously I’m not flattered and I will not sleep with/marry you).
8. Being afraid of correcting a guys’ mistake when he talks about sports because you know you’ll get judged hard core.
9. No I am not a tomboy.
10. Getting a job in sports is 1,000 times more difficult.
11. Meeting a guy at a bar you like and then realizing he roots for your rival team.
12. People assume you are only at a game because your boyfriend wanted to go.
13. Buying team apparel and always being asked if it is a gift for your boyfriend.
14. Being accused of being a cleat chaser/puck bunny/laxitute/any other derogatory name.
15. When you let a guy buy you a drink at a game and he comes back with a fruity little drink.

As a female sports fan myself, it’s not as always as great as it seems. We are just as knowledgable as you and please before you ask a girl a trivia question, make sure you know the answer first.
